Description: This is version 4 of the 12" Razzo Roasting Chamber for the FreshRoast SR800 coffee bean roaster. This is NOT the latest version that has the temperature probe port. This is a major aftermarket upgrade over the stock model that comes with the FreshRoast SR800 as well as the factory extension tube they sell. The bean movement is so much better, plus you are able to roast more at one time than you can with the stock version. Or, if you prefer, you can roast smaller batches until you are familiar with the type of bean you are roasting so you don't waste coffee beans. The scalloped glass is very thick and holds heat extremely well compared to either the stock roasting chamber or the stock extension tube, which are very thin and seem fragile. Basically, it's a game changer. In the pic with the yellow circle it appears that the glass is cracked. I contacted Kent Harris, the owner of RazzoRoasting, after receiving it and he told me this is very common when cutting this borosilicate laboratory glass and assured me it would not affect anything and it would not grow in size that it is basically cosmetic, he was right; it has not grown in size or affected anything in any way. In the other pic with the yellow oval circling the top of the roaster glass, these are high heat rubber bands that RazzoRoasting puts on and are only there to match and mate up with the inner diameter of the chaff collector that comes with the FreshRoast 800 roaster. I point this out because if you are unfamiliar with this product it looks a little weird. You can spend a bunch of time trying to straighten them to be even, but personally, I'd rather spend my time roasting coffee. I can assure you they affect absolutely nothing. As I said, their only purpose in life is to create a better fit between the chaff collector and the roasting chamber so that the chaff stays in the chaff collector. The ONLY reason I am getting rid of it is because I updated to the latest version that has the temp probe port. I like to be able to collect data using the Artisan software, whereas a lot of home roasters don't care about the numbers and roast by sight, sound, and smell. However, you can, and I did, use temp probes running down through the chaff collector into the chamber and it works fine that way, but if you roast multiple batches it just gets a little annoying dealing with the long temp probe wires every time you remove the chaff collector to dump the beans after the roast is completed. Warning: This glass roasting chamber gets VERY VERY HOT (350°+ degrees Fahrenheit) when in use!!! Use caution when handling during roast sessions. Be sure to read and follow the handling instructions that come with your FreshRoast Roaster before using. Never ever leave your roaster unattended during a coffee roasting session. The chaff produced during the coffee roasting process is flammable and has the potential to ignite if not following instructions. Read your user manual and become very familiar with it. I would highly recommend you keep a fire extinguisher accessible just in case, better safe than sorry. Included Item: One (1) Razzo Roasting ChamberBuyer to pay actual shipping costs.
