After the end of fighting in Poland in 1939, these mess tins (almost identical to German mess tins) were used by the Wehrmacht until 1945.Mess kit I'm selling is a postwar product, as those mess kit had been still produced after the war in the same factories as before WW2, however the shape was the same like in 1939 Additionally, the buyer receives 100 grams of JEDYNA chocolate from the Polish company E.WEDEL. Polish soldiers received such chocolates during the 1939 campaign. Chocolate is still produced today and, of course, it is for eating.
