Description: For the Baseball Hobbyist. . . 1952 Topps Official Reprint Team Set SAINT LOUIS BROWNS (today's Baltimore Orioles) All 21 different cards ~ Issued by Topps in 1983 The classic 1952 Topps baseball set - long desired by serious collectors - was reprinted by the Topps Company in 1983 in the modern standard size (2-1/2" by 3-1/2"). What was fast becoming unaffordable suddenly was within the financial reach of most collectors! Even team sets which may not have had a player or two to eventually win election to the National Baseball Hall of Fame had (previous to Topps reprinting) become increasingly expensive due to the presence of cards from the last series! Offered here is a complete reprint team set of the classic 1952 Topps set. All cards issued for the team and reprinted by Topps in 1983 are here. Sometimes players changed teams during the season. For purposes of this complete team set, we have included ALL players noted on the BACK of the card as being part of this team. (Note: due to contractual problems, five cards from the original 407 were not reprinted: #20, 22, 159, 196 and 289.) All cards have been scanned (front side) with a single example back. Since we have just one complete team set to sell, these are the actual cards the buyer will receive.Some 1952 Topps St. Louis Browns team sets include card #102 (Bill Kennedy) since he is pictured in Browns uniform. However, Kennedy was traded to the Chicago White Sox after his picture was confirmed and is included in our team sets with the Chicago White Sox since the reverse side of the card lists him with the ChiSox.
