Description: Two Original Harper’s Weekly vintage (original, not modern reproductions) woodcut engravings – two different prints from a scrapbook, one pasted on each side. Images shown with this listing: The first is a collage of both prints; the second and third are from large scanner bed that doesn’t quite show the prints’ full size, but does best show the engraved details and the age tone. The last two images are photographs, although I am not very good with the camera, these images do show all the edges. If desired, I’m sure there is a way to remove these pages (but you may frame one as-is); I would recommend consulting with a paper conservator.1) “Rehearsing for the Opera” Illustration by John Nash, published late 19th century . Size 12 x 17 1/2 inches. Condition: no folds or foxing, short tear to left edge, retains the sub-title below. 2) “Vanity Fair--Christmas, 1863.” Published late 19th century. Size 13 x 19 1/2 inches, including the sub-title and the poem Condition, closed tear to the bottom edge text, no age toning or foxing or creases. I have other double-page Harper’s Weekly wood engravings listed from the same scrapbook; combine orders and save on shipping. Questions always welcome.
