The 70 refers to the 70mm outside diameter. It is popular for storage units but for lockers you may want to check the hasp opening. The 10mm shackle diameter is often too large for gym and school lockers. ABUS invented the disc lock over 30 years ago and has continued to develop it into the market leader it is today. The design has been copied by just about every lock supplier in the world but none come close to the quality of the original. Today the DISKUS family consists of 4 models and sizes ranging from 2" up to 3 5/8" wide. ABUS has designed a special hasp (140 Series) to be used with the DISKUS locks. The cylinder has been improved by adding the ABUS PLUS cylinder with drill protection and the shackle has been improved with a special alloy shackle.
