Access: The safe will ship with the door unsecured (closed with utility shrink wrap) so that you may easily insert batteries & register your fingerprints. Please read directions closely and consider viewing online tutorials so that you do not get locked out. Battery Failure & Subsequent Access: In the event of battery failure, the External Battery Pack* can be used to access the safe by plugging it into the fingerprint module on the front of safe (there is a red port, along the bottom). The battery pack will supply power to the module, allowing you to access the safe with your registered fingerprints to change the batteries. * The External Battery Pack was purchased through Barska in lieu of providing a physical replacement key (this item is discontinued). However, a locksmith may be able to replace the lock IF you feel that you must own a physical key.
