Description: An original over pressure valve(OVP) of the Gaggia Classic is factory set to 15 bar. This pressure is too high when using a classic espresso portafilter basket. Professional espresso machines have a pressure of 9 bar. Fortunately, it is relatively easy to replace the spring in the over pressure valve with a weaker one and thus regulate the pressure to the ideal 9 bar. We offer a self-assembly stainless spring that is compatible with all newer Gaggia Classic coffee machines (2019 models - so far).
