Description: This is a Japanese original woodblock print, likely from The World of Art v. 21, published 1892. a collection of similar prints from the text was detailed here: https://www.fujiarts.com/cgi-bin/item.pl?item=351081. This print shows a waterfall and tree canopy. I was unable to locate other copies of the exact print, but this came from the same collection as others I'm selling and has telltale signs of being from the same volume of the collaborative magazine. The blue of the water has faded to gray in most areas and there are signs of the print's age, including tanning to the washi paper. This print is not affixed to any backing. On the bottom edge, there is discoloration, the discoloration is likely dirt or ink from a facing page. The print is a diptych and has been joined using acid free tape by an experienced frame specialist. There are a couple of other spots of discoloration detailed in the photographs. All in all, the sealed print is in good condition. All prints will ship flat, never rolled, and shipping will be by USPS, sandwiched between acid free boards and shipped using repurposed thick cardboard packaging.
