We see peasants carrying a sacred gift to the emperor's child. Delicately wrought leaves and figures, combine with a rich variety of multicolored patinas to create the Chinoiserie top. Colored patina inserts highlight the hexagonal pedestal. The design is credited as inspiring and evoking the French and English periods of furniture design.
