Description: Pearl Vari-Pitch Roto Tom 12" Condition: Good 12" diameter x 10 1/5" shell depth x 15" total depth Pearl's Vari-Pitch series of drums were only made for a short period of time in the 1980s and have since become a bit of a collector's piece due to their unique nature. Pearl were inspired by Remo's Roto-Toms to create a one head drum that changes pitch by spinning. Pearl made their own spin on this idea by adding shells to that design. This drum and its shell do show some signs of wear and usage including scratches, aging and light corrosion. Overall though it is in good shape, particularlly for its age. There is no mounting system so you may need a snare stand to hold it.
