Vintage 1930s Black Silk Crepe Long Evening Gown

Description: This lovely evening maxi dress is from the 1930s and made of silk crepe. The detailing on this dress is amazing and included shirring at the shoulders, waist and hems of the Bishop sleeves. The many buttons that extend from the throat to the waist are actually functional and some need to be replaced, and there is an opening at the left side under the sleeve that closes with snaps. It does have belt loops, but sadly there is no belt. As the dress is super log, one could easily be fashioned from fabric at the hem and the hem shortened. It does need some careful mending in places as there are scattered holes and snags and the hem at the neck needs resewn. But it is a lovely wearable dress or would be a wonderful addition to any vintage clothing collection! Please see all photos for condition and any flaws.
