Description: Camapgnolo stunned the racing bike world with the introduction of the first new RECORD groups as shown in this ten page catalog. Radical new items were a crankset with a 39 tooth inner ring, the Delta brakes, and the fact that the entire group was now "aero" compared to previous groups. Also the retro friction down tube shifters (shades of Simplex here) were a huge improvement along with derailleur jockey wheels that rotated on ball bearings in lieu of the traditional bushings. Highly collectable today are bikes of this vintage that sport an original RECORD group of this vintage which was cosmetically one of the finest Campy groups ever produced.
