Description: This is a game (season) used 1946 Gene Hermanski Brooklyn Dodgers pair of flannel pants. The pants are in excellent condition with only some minor wear. Gene Hermanski wire number 22 and was an outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1943 to 1953. Gene welcomed Jackie Robinson to the team and even suggested that all players on the team wear #42 to confuse potential snipers trying to shoot Jackie. Little did he know that 55 years later number 42 would be worn by all players on both teams in honor of Jackie and once per year on Jackie Robinson Day. Gene had a career spanning 10 years where he hit .272 with 46 home runs. This is a great item to add to any vintage MLB collection.
